We are pleased to invite you to the Nordic Eye Meeting in Gothenburg, 8–10 October 2026. This year the Swedish Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology (SSVO) is proud to host the meeting, held at Quality Hotel The Weaver, close to Gothenburg city centre with easy access by airport, train or car.
Scientific theme
The scientific theme focuses on advanced clinical management and surgical innovations in glaucoma, corneal surgery and KCS. Our main speaker, Dr. Stefan Kindler, is a distinguished expert who has led his own ophthalmic specialist referral clinic in Wiesbaden, Germany since 1996.
Programme highlights
Thursday 8 October begins at lunchtime with the slide test, national meeting and Nordic meeting, followed by a welcome dinner. Friday 9 October is a full day on glaucoma with Dr. Kindler, followed by a guided tram tour and a gala dinner at Universeum. Saturday 10 October continues with corneal surgery and the latest on keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS).
Fees and registration
- Early bird: SEK 7,600 + 25% VAT (before 7 June)
- Regular fee: SEK 8,800 + 25% VAT (after 7 June)
- Last day to register: 7 September
The fee includes lunches, coffee breaks, dinners and all social events.
Accommodation
Hotel bookings should be made directly with the hotel before 7 August 2026. Price: SEK 1,050 per person/night including breakfast.
